The word Psalm is simply a translation of the Hebrew word meaning, ‘song’. Many songs have been written based on the Psalms, and the music and melody of the words themselves draw us toward God and the beauty of his creation. The Psalms remind us of his deep love for us (Psalm 36:5) and his glorious majesty that existed before time and will continue forever (Psalm 102:12).
